This course provides a practical introduction to power boat handling, boat safety and the necessary skills to handle a poweboat in an emergency, Minimum age for this course is 8 years old.
The course covers: Boat handling, Securing to a buoy, Leaving and coming alongside, Boat and engine checks, Collision regulations (IRPCS) and anchoring. Minimum age for this course is 12 years old. Upon completion of the PB2 course it allows you to obtain the International Certificate of competence (ICC) Up to 10 m (33ft) which is required to charter or use a powerboat/Rib in Spain and many other countries around the World. Minimum age for applying for an ICC Certificate Is 16 years old.
If you have at least one full season of Powerboat Handling experience and can demonstrate a good theoretical knowledge in the subject such as
buoyage, Knots and IRPC Rules 5, 7, 8, 9, 12-18, you can apply to do a One Day Direct Assessment, to apply for an ICC.
